     The Jomsom is a most popular destination of north of Nepal in Annapurna region. Jomsom cycling tour is a great way to fun and adventure. From Jomsom we can enjoy the views of the Nilgiri peaks as well as Dhaulagiri, also sixth highest mountain in the world. Most of the hotels, along this trek route, are run by people of the Thakali tribes. They are mostly found in the mountainous regions between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.People of here tibetan origin but have their own  language and custom of Thakali people. here popular place is Muktinath temple and also popular for apple product.  Many tourist are visit in this place, so here people are busy in tourism sector. They   have a big chance to grow up and    development own areas.
                                                       

  
  We did mountain biking in this place on last week(17april to 21april). after long time i really enjoyed with biking. It was really exciting cycling and some adventure wind in popular area of Kagbeni.This is my first time, i ever been shocked with wind but finally we did passed there.

Day-1 Kathmandu to Pokhara (1336m-827m)     distance-198 km

 we picked up guest from international airport in Kathmandu, then take transport to Pokhara by our own vehicle from Kathmandu. After an hour we crossed the Kathmandu  city but when we are reached in Thankot there is some problem with truck, so we were not continue to our travel, then after an hour we took dry food near in galchi village, then after 6 hour we are reached in hotel Bass Camp of Pokhara. It is most popular in this area but much better now before 1 year, cause it was just completely decoration and some managed of their hotel.We took dinner in Korean restaurant, it was very delicious food and we took also some of glass bear before dinner, it also delight full with our guest.Then after 1 hour, we left to go sleep from there.

Day-2 Jomsom to Muktinath-(2713m - 3817m)     distance-31 km

  Jomsom is a one of the danger place to stiff winds to blow, so we are waited good weather in the Jomsom, finally we flew to Jomsom from Pokhara airport in the morning at 7:00am and also we took some

pack breakfast in Pokhara airport. After 25 minute we reached hotel Moon Light in Jomsom and some took tea and ready to traveling from there.This time we planed to go Muktinath then ride back in Jomsom from there. We started after tea just 30 minute ride to jomsom bus park then we took local vehicle,there is only jeep track. About 30 minute after where is an accident in near Jomsom, 3 km far from the bus park. Our driver said, this is the first time he ever seen before like this type of an accident, so we also shocked at that time cause no one injured in the accident and some took photos of their situation where an accident. Then after 2 hour we were reached in Muktinath, then we started biking from there after lunch, also visited there.Muktinath is foothills of the Thorong La Mountain which is also a fraction of the Himalayas. The temple of Muktinath above Thak Khola is one of the major pilgrimages for the Hindus and Buddhists of the religion. Then after visited we moved from there to around Muktinath, Jhong, and Kagbeni, it almost jeep track and off road also downhill. It was exciting moment at this time so strange with the wind, in fact we slowly down from there and then also visited where is old king palace. After 3 hour we reached in beautiful village Kagbeni from Mukthinath. It also famous place of apple product also pilgrimage place.we were took some rest and tea there. Then back Jomsom in Mon light hotel also overnight stay there.

Day-3 Jomsom to tatopani(2713m-1189m)     distance-47km

we started as early as possible in the morning from Jomsom.  We ride through Jomsom and one stage takes a uncertain route through a very steep section of the to take the way to tatopani. This is where the difficult track branches off Kali Gandagi river and somewhere Push and carry in difficult sections. Ride mostly downhill from Jomsom. After an hour we reached in Marpha village, is also more popular in the upper Kali Gandaki region, and its influence can be seen in several village monasteries as well as in the houses. Also central production of apple as much alcohol. also suitable place and big place for apple farming. Then we ride through jeep track from Marpha after about 2 hour we took lunch in Kalopani then after lunch we moved there.It's also nice village of this route, some visitor are overnight in this place. Then we slowly down and after an hour checked our guest permit card in Ghasa checkpoint which card is like entree card, so first we were managed that for entree in national park but only have to pay for foreign. Somewhere also took tea and some rest when we were ride through downhill from Ghasa. Then we ride through the scenic countryside and hit the dirt road build recently along the most popular Annapurna trekking trail and arrive at Tatopani after about 2 hour. It's name Tatopani means 'hot' and Pani means 'water', a name earned courtesy of the hot springs by the river. Also it is a popular destination for a shorter trek out of Pokhara.We entered in hot spring and also many people was there. It was really hot, like a boiled water. We stayed  overnight there and some learn about village of their  opportunity.


Day-4  Tatopani to Beni(bike), Beni to Dhampus( Vehicle),(1189m-830m)   Distance-25km

 After breakfast we followed Kali Gandaki river from Tatopani through dirt road . We crossed the bridge to western side of Kaligandaki river which is major river. Then shortly we ride over the Ghara Khola. The track was very narrow and rough which made us difficult to ride mountain bike. After an hour's ride we came to attractive riverside village. Then we slowly ride down Ghara Khola. After 4 hour we reached in Beni Bazzar from Tatopani. We took some dry food and used to vehicle then keep all bike for transport to Dhampus. then reach the Baglung highway which will lead us to Naudanda which track is to go Dhampus village. The village ranges from an altitude of 800m at the base to 1600m. People can enjoy with the great view of Annapurna ranges. But it was cloudy and we couldn't see the great giant. Dhampus is also a gateway to Annapurna Conservation Area.

Tatopani

The place also serves as one of the main entry points to Annapurna Base camp and to other trekking trails of Annapurna Region. The total population is about 2700 in Dhampus. Most of the people belong Gurung tribe. This is the rural area so they are cultivating land and some of them run hotel business for their income. We stayed the Tukino-ie(Moon house), it was very beautiful and very clean also nice staff there. This hotel service to only for Japanese people. We took lunch and some cold drunk, then also we took Japanese stile of bath. At dhampus school, people are plying football match which is enter village computation game. So interesting game and also other program also was there, which is conference for rural development. Now the development is going on in this area. After a few years, we can see big changing.The place where we stayed in Tukino-ie, It was there worship about dead soul at night. After worship, it will be relief him soul. They are played some cultural instrument and singing.

Day-5 Dhampus to Pokhara by vehicle (1600-800)    Distance-36km

When i was wake up early, there was little quite rained in the morning. And it was heavy raining at this night, so we didn't think to ride in this situation. However we were waiting for the good weather, but almost road is wet and dirty. Finally we decided not impossible to ride in the wet road. There is some track danger for riding in downhill. So we decided to go by vehicle from there and after breakfast we move to Hanano-ie in Astam village. There also we can see nice mountains view. we arrived in after 1 an half hour from Dhampus to Astam village. It was there really so many beautiful flowers and nice farming in Hanano-ie.  After briefed about HanaNo-ie with guest, then we slowly down to Pokhara. After 1 hour we reached in Pokahara city where is located our branch office. Vehicle was waiting there for transport to Kathmandu, then we changed vehicle and safely put on all bikes then left from there. We through the PrithbiRajMarg which is main highway road then lunched at Malekhu place after 3 hour where is famous place for fish. It was very fresh fishes and really delicious with Nepali dalbhat. We nearly at Kathmandu after 5 hour ride from Malekhu, when we reached in Kathmandu it was very different weather then Pokhara. It was there quite hot then here, also rain more then here. Here receives the highest amount of rainfall in the nepal.

    Finally we finished our travel and it was very delightful of my second time in this place, but our guest was already visit many times in here. He just to know about jomsom but not so more, I hope he will be enjoying  with local nepali culture and natural beauties of Jomsom.
